Anyone who would like to witness and participate in the stupa-filling ceremony is welcome to attend. Directions below.
Please share in the merit of creating this Victory Stupa. We invite you to donate prayer flags; candles; Dharma books; statues; incense; dried flowers; and photos of holy beings, Buddhas, and deities.
If you would like to offer a sacred object to go in the stupa, email Chuck Pettis at cpettis@earthsanctuary.org.
As the pre-eminent symbol of Buddhism, the stupa represents the fully enlightened mind of the Buddha. It is a consecrated three-dimensional mandala that radiates spiritual power and amplifies prayers. A stupa creates a sacred space of positive energy to cleanse lifetimes of negative imprints from all who visit and circumambulate the stupa.
The Victory Stupa, one of eight types of stupas, is being built at the Tara Meditation Center at Earth Sanctuary for the purpose of sharing the Buddha Dharma around the world, for the prosperity and preservation of the Sakya teachings, and for the long life of H.H. Jigdal Dagchen Sakya’s long life and the fulfillment of his wishes.
