On Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 10:00 am, a blessing ceremony for a Tibetan Buddhist stupa to built at Earth Sanctuary (www.earthsanctuary.org) will be performed by His Holiness Jigdal Dagchen Sakya, the Head Lama of Sakya Monastery of Tibetan Buddhism (www.sakya.org) in Seattle, WA. H.H. J.D. Sakya will be assisted by H.E. Dagmo Kusho Sakya, H.E. Kathog Rigzin Chenpo Rinpoche, Tulku Yeshi, Khenpo Jampa, Venerable Lama Tashi, and Lama Migmar.
The Earth Sanctuary stupa will be located off Emil Road in the new Earth Sanctuary arboretum. A stupa is a holy and sacred space that blesses the land and plants the seed for enlightenment. The main purpose of building a stupa is to help create happiness and peace in the world.
