Did you know that bullfrogs are an invasive species here and voracious predators. (They are native to the East coast where they have predators who keep their populations in check.) Bullfrogs are responsible for the near extinction of some species of native fish and turtles and are a serious threat to baby ducklings. They don’t have any predators out here and have been wreaking ecological havoc in western WA waters for about the last 30 years. They probably arrived via well meaning school teachers or parents who didn’t want to kill the tadpoles or frogs after their classes had looked at them. They apparently are good for frog legs though……
