Earth Sanctuary Story by Chuck Pettis - Oct. 20
Please join us for a free evening of Story Telling to help Welcome in the Autumn on Friday Evening, October 20.
Chuck Pettis, owner and founder of the Earth Sanctuary, will talk on Sacred Space, Sacred Ecology, from the Celtic tradition.
Drum maker and Cherokee elder, Bonnie Pemberton will talk about the use of the Talking Stick, and share a story from the Native American perspective. Peter Lawlor, Whidbey Poety Laureate originally from New Zealand, will share a myth about the Maori ceremonial Staff of Office.
The event will be held at the Book Bay Bookstore on Main Street in Freeland at 7:00 PM on October 20th, Friday evening.
Stay afterwards to talk to the speakers while hot cider and home made cookies will be provided for guests from WHIDBEY WALKS, sponsoring and hosting the event. For information reach Whidbey Walks at 321-4950.
